Information Security Coordinator

As an Information Security Coordinator, you will be part of the Security and Preparedness Unit. The unit is part of the municipal management staff and is responsible for the municipality's cohesive work with civil preparedness, crime prevention, safety promotion, information security, data protection, security protection, and signal protection. The unit has a supportive focus where advice and support to other sectors occur regularly.

The Security and Preparedness Unit is a unit that, together with the competencies within the municipality's sectors, companies, and municipal associations, works broadly with security issues within the municipality. Since we are a small but growing unit, we collectively focus our efforts, and each contributes from their area of expertise where we selflessly contribute in both large and small ways.

In this role, you play an important part within the municipal management staff. Our mission is to lead and support the municipality's development. We create conditions for our operations to achieve their goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The work with information security aims to protect the municipality's information from being disclosed, altered, or made inaccessible.

In the role of central Information Security Coordinator, you primarily work with the municipality's systematic information security work carried out in accordance with the NIS2 Directive and the Cybersecurity Act. You provide ongoing support to the municipality's operations in areas such as information classification, risk analysis work, and security measures. You conduct environmental monitoring to provide the municipality's operations with current information in the field.

Together with other employees in the unit, you develop governing documents in the form of guidelines and routines, and create long-term methods and processes for the systematic information security work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education equivalent to a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. You have a high proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of English and proficiency in the Office suite are also required.

Meritorious but not required:

• experience working in the field of information security
• experience working in municipal operations and an understanding of how a politically governed organization functions
• experience working in a supportive and educational role

You enjoy working independently by planning, organizing, and driving your processes forward in a systematic way that achieves desired results. You possess the ability to think strategically and strive to maintain a holistic perspective. You are attentive and accommodating in your interactions and make an effort to deliver solutions.

You will act as the spider in the web in many situations, which means you must enjoy having many points of contact and find it easy to collaborate and communicate with others. You should also thrive in an educational and consultative role while having the ability to take the lead when necessary, preferably by creating engagement and participation.

To succeed in this role, you need to collaborate with employees and managers at all levels in a pedagogical and unpretentious manner.
